The year that festivals were finally back on, allowing tens of thousands of people to enjoy live music and art. The year we developed new clients, and the year that allowed ALTER to create tons of successful media and influencer campaigns.
Jeddah Yacht Club was a new client in 2022, and we did some incredible work together as they build towards their full opening of a new iconic club and marina that will open up the Red Sea to tourism and local water sports enthusiasts.
We created a new brand identity for Jeddah Yacht Club that was modern, inspiring and forward-thinking – in keeping with the Kingdom’s drive into the future. We produced banks of imagery of the Club during Jeddah Season. We implemented a creative campaign throughout an inspiring new Boat Show including all marketing collateral, event branding and way-signs. We designed a head-turning boat branding campaign for Jeddah 01 and Jeddah 02 the Open 60 yachts used to inspire Saudis to give yachting a trial. We ran an international PR campaign to launch Jeddah Yacht Club at the time of the Jeddah Grand Prix with media partnerships and promotions designed to introduce Jeddah as a new sailing destination and an opportunity for boat owners to extend the traditional Mediterranean season.
Further in the year, Jeddah Yacht Club tasked us to design a new website within eight weeks from design, build and go-live, ensuring it was ready for their exhibition at the Monaco Yacht Show. We delivered a fully responsive desktop and mobile website for Jeddah Yacht Club in English and Arabic; it was an exciting digital challenge to take on, and we’re thrilled with what we created.
We continued to support the global consumer electronics business, TCL. One of the best things about working with TCL is the absolute commitment to a fantastic Brand Mission: To democratise technology for all. The launch of the TCL 30 Series was a great example of that, with a wide range of incredibly affordable devices, packed with premium features. We worked with influencers, brand partners, business bodies and more. Whether it be the stands in Motherwell’s Fir Park, or some of the world’s most famous footballers, we worked hard to ensure the UK heard about and appreciated this release. With CES 2023 already promising the TCL 40 Series, we’re excited to see what we can do together this year!
There was endless global coverage from TCL’s partnership with BAFTA and the A Life In Pictures programme, which saw appearances from Baz Luhrmann, Margot Robbie and the incredible Kate Hudson. 2022 also allowed TCL to showcase their home set-up at CCS Insight, showing their full portfolio of smart home products, that are all incredibly affordable.
During the World Cup, we were lucky enough to work with the great Hashtag United and hosted a home viewing event with @spenfc and @tobyamoraleon which generated over 300,000 impressions.
In the sunny months of the year, we enjoyed working onsite in Ireland with our client Bacardi, delivering groundbreaking festival activations at St. Annes Series, Longitude and Electric Picnic. The ALTER team brought these festivals alive with their extensive know-how and creativity.
Throughout the year, we organised multiple great activations in pubs and restaurants across the country with Victoria Malaga beer. We invited guests and influencers to try their Spanish beer, which was paired with delicious paella, Spanish themed entertainment and a lot of dancing! We generated a huge buzz on socials, introducing the wider public to Cerveza Victoria beer and the history of the brand!
We were excited to host a summer solstice party for Havaianas with over 200 press and influencers attending the event held at The Nest in central London. The evening was a success with over 450 social posts and a reach of nearly 12 million!
ALTER had an amazing 2022. And we are now busy crafting new campaigns for 2023 throughout the UK, Ireland and Saudi Arabia.
