Alcatel have today announced the launch of the A5 LED at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona – the world’s first interactive LED-covered smartphone. The phone delivers on Alcatel’s ‘Enjoy Now’ promise with innovations for young consumers that are energetic and expressive with their technology.          

With the innovative A5 LED, Alcatel is delivering new fun features, like light-up notifications and unique LED cover patterns and themes you can create yourself, as well as an enhanced multimedia experience. It is ideal for people who value having fun and letting their personality shine”, said William Dowie, Portfolio Management Director, Alcatel.

Offering a unique and interactive experience, the A5 LED puts its owner in charge of showcasing their smartphone personality, with a dazzling array of LED light shows that move in time with music and signify incoming calls, messages, alerts and alarms.

The A5 LED also comes with a 5MP front camera with selfie flash for brighter selfies even in low light and Face Beauty software for flawless images.

Retailing at €199, the A5 will be available for sale in Europe from May onwards.
