Havaianas is a democratic, colourful and joyful brand, a symbol of equality and optimism. Since its beginnings, it was created as a product that is at the feet of every Brazilian, regardless of their social position.
The Havaianas brand is well known for bringing the world a little more colour, one pair at a time. It only made sense to launch a collection to celebrate not only everything that it stands for, but that it also celebrates and supports, all kinds of love.
This summer, the Brazilian footwear brand released their first all year round rainbow range of flip flops, encouraging conversation, social media inclusion and empowerment for LGBTQIA+ youth through a charity initiative.
As part of ALTER’s influencer marketing strategy, we partnered with content creators and social media influencers; Melony Lemon and Bee Illustrates who are true representatives of the LGBTQIA+ community and whose artistic expression and powerful voice made them the perfect pairing for this capsule footwear collection.
ALTER also joined forces with Alex Silver PR to create bespoke influencer press kits which included brand partners such as Popcorn Shed and Lady Showbiz. These kits were then seeded to prominent UK beauty influencers and bloggers and achieved a combined social media reach of 817,200.
For each Havaianas Pride collection product sold, 7% of the proceeds of sales will be donated to the All Out movement, in a financial commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community.
